  45.     This is a little software package that allows different
  46.     actions upon arrival of mails from specific adresses.
  47.  
  48.     With faces, you can let your Amiga sing Hallelujah, whenever
  49.     mail from your girlfriend arrives or curse loudly, if mail
  50.     comes in from your boss.
  51.  
  52.     It consists of two parts, the executable binary (faces) and
  53.     and a user / action database file (faces.db). The binary is
  54.     executed by your mail package's 'rmail' type command and must
  55.     therefore be set up as a mail filter in the aliases file.
  56.     Whenever a mail for a local user with a "|faces" piping entry
  57.     in his alias arrives, faces parses the sender's address out 
  58.     of the header and looks up faces.db
  59.  
  60.     The database stores information on which action is to be
  61.     executed upon arrival of mails from what address or class of
  62.     addresses. An address specification may contain wildcards, an
  63.     action specification is any valid dos command line, i.e.
  64.     playing a sound sample, speaking text via 'say', opening a
  65.     requester, etc.

  68. SPECIAL REQIUREMENTS
  69.  
  70.     To properly use AmigaFaces, you need a mail system installed
  71.     on your Amiga, which features aliases and piping.
  72.  
  73.     I have tested the program with AmigaUUCP (with and without the
  74.     wusel patch), AmiTCP 3b / InetUtils v1.4. (Note: IU v1.3 won't
  75.     work.) and with AmiTCP / in.smtpd. Whether it runs with a smtpd
  76.     for AS225, I can't tell.
